Europacable launches new fire safety website - SAFETY-DURING-FIRE.COM
2009-08-24 - BRUXELLES – The new ‘Safety During Fire’ website, founded by leading, organisation Europacable, goes live today on the World Wide Web. Through this, innovative web project, Europacable aims to direct electrical industry professionals, European and National Authorities and end-users towards safer buildings during a fire, scenario. The new website features accurate scientific content and answers to a wide, variety of tough questions about cables exposed to fire and the European Construction, Product Directive applied to cables.

The CEMAC II Project
2009-06-30 - In order to facilitate the timely and orderly introduction of CE Marking of cables for their reaction, to fire performance under the CPD (Construction Products Directive), European cable, manufactures working through Europacable agreed to fully fund a large (in excess of Euro 1M) 2, year project, “CEMAC II CE-Marking of Cables”, which brings together cable manufacturers, research laboratories, test laboratories and research establishments.

Reaction to fire of cables – Euroclassification according with the construction product directive
2009-05-18 - Electric cables have obtained a European Classification for their Reaction-to-Fire(*) performance. The Decision n° 2006/751/CE was published on the EC Official Journal on 27th October 2006.
